The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb Mukhaif, met in the capital, London, on Wednesday, with the Governor of the Bank of England, and discussed ways to develop banking relations between the two countries.

The governor of the Central Bank concluded his meetings with the Secretary General of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the meeting included discussion of the final requirements for Iraq’s accession to the European Bank, as well as their desire to deal with private Iraqi companies and banks, according to the statement.
